Development of scientific principles of folklore texts.

Study of folklore Russian old population in the context of cultural borderland.

Yakut Folklore Department (Group) studies the current trends in the development of domestic and foreign folklore, based on the classic comparative and typological methods, employees of this department develop theoretical and methodological base for cross-cultural research to identify general and specific features of the Yakut folklore.
