Museum of History the Academic Science in Yakutia named after G.P. Basharin)

28 March 2002, at The Institute of Humanitarian Researches of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic Sakha (Yakutia), opened a Museum of History of Academic Science of the Republic Sakha (Yakutia) named after G.P. Basharin.

The Museum was created with the aim of collecting, preservation, study and popularization of historical information about academic science of Yakutia, starting with the first expeditions of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the XVII century and ending with the activities of the modern scientific institutions and eminent scientists who have brought the considerable contribution to development of science in the North-East of the country. The scientific staff of the Museum see their task in the disclosure of the Museum means the history of the development of academic institutions, the main achievements of Yakut science, succession of generations, who devoted his life to science, preserving the memory of the outstanding scientists and organizers of science in the Republic.
