Publication ethics of the Journal. Review procedure for received materials.

General provision

The editor-in-chief and editorial board of the Journal "NORTH-EASTERN JOURNAL OF HUMANITIES" are guided in their activities by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, the norms and principles adopted by the Association of Science Editors and Publishers (ASEP), the provisions of Chapter 70 "Copyright" of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. The editors expect similar ethical approaches from the authors of manuscripts submitted for publication in the Journal "NORTH-EASTERN JOURNAL OF HUMANITIES".

Decision-making mechanism for publishing an article

The editors make the decision to publish the article solely on the basis of an objective assessment of the reliability of the research results, scientific and practical value of the work in question, based on the results of a scientific review. When deciding on the publication of the manuscript, the members of the editorial board are also guided by the journal's policies and do not allow the publication of articles with signs of slander, insult, plagiarism or copyright infringement.

The principle of equality of authors

The editorial board evaluates the scientific content of the manuscripts, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, origin, citizenship, place of work, social status, or political preferences of the authors.

Privacy principle

The editors have no right to disclose, use for personal purposes, transfer to third parties (except reviewers) any materials of the article before its publication without the written consent of the author (co-authors).

Reviewers are warned by the editors that the materials in the article are the intellectual property of the authors, as well as about the inadmissibility of disclosure, use for personal purposes of the information contained in the peer-reviewed article.

The principle of preventing and resolving conflicts of interest

To comply with the standards of publication ethics, the editors of the Journal "NORTH-EASTERN JOURNAL OF HUMANITIES" strive to eliminate the conflict of interests of the parties involved in the publication process.

The causes of the conflict of interest may be the scientific, financial or personal relationships of the author, reviewer or editorial board member, which may affect the objectivity of their decisions.

If a situation arises in connection with a violation of the publication ethics of any of the parties, a mandatory internal investigation is conducted to resolve the conflict of interest that has arisen.

The procedure for reviewing manuscripts of scientific articles for publication in a Journal

The editorial board of the Journal "NORTH-EASTERN JOURNAL OF HUMANITIES" in its activities is based on the following fundamental procedure for the scientific examination of received materials:

  • - all scientific articles submitted to the journal are subject to mandatory review;

  • - the executive secretary determines the compliance of the article with the profile of the Journal, the requirements for design and directs it to double-blind review. The reviewer (depending on the nature of the work, it is possible to attract 2 specialists) has a scientific degree of a doctor or candidate of sciences, a scientific specialization and publications on the problems of the reviewed article that are close to the topic of the article over the past 3 years;

  • - the review period in each individual case is determined taking into account the creation of conditions for the most prompt publication of the article;

  • - articles not recommended by reviewers for publication are not accepted for re-consideration. The text of negative reviews is sent to the authors by e-mail, fax or regular mail;

  • - the presence of a positive review is not a sufficient basis for the publication of an article. The final decision on the advisability of publication is made by the editorial board of the journal and is recorded in the minutes of the meeting of the editorial board;

  • - after the editorial board has made a decision on the admission of an article to publication, the executive secretary informs the author about this and indicates the date of publication. The text of the review is sent to the author by e-mail, fax or regular post;

  • - the original reviews are kept in the editorial board for five years;

  • - copies of reviews upon request are sent to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
